DESCRIPTION: The above work-a fresco paintings of the first century BC Antigua-copy of a Greek occupy the walls of a room five by eight meters, and they are represented several women and some mythological characters in different poses.
These figures include those of a child reading a table under the watchful eye of a priestess, both flanked by two other females, one veiled and the other holding a tray of food.
However, the most striking scenes are different: on the one hand, that of a woman covered with a blanket and looking frightened by something and on the other hand, a half-naked young man seems to be crying and is comforted by another woman. Both are accompanied by a dancer who appears naked back.
Finally, in another scene, in this case means destruida- Dionysus (Bacchus in the Roman world) Greek god, reclining on an incomplete female figure, which is possibly his beloved Ariadne appears.
CONNECTION WITH HISTORIC MOMENT: The Villa had beautiful rooms for lunch and for leisure, and functional spaces. A wine press was discovered when the Villa was excavated and has been restored to its original location
